Chances are the food in the boxes and the bags aren’t going to be good for you. Before you dispose of them, check the nutrition panel – sodium, sugars and the words you can’t pronounce are the types you don’t want!

Start The Day Early

Whilst adequate amounts of sleep can boost your metabolism, excessive hours of sleeping in the morning can be detrimental to your weight loss goals.

Studies have shown that those who sleep in past 10:30 am eat more than 250 calories more in one day. With those calories coming from salty, sugary and processed foods.

Drink Plenty Of Water

Water is vital for our fitness, performance, and overall health. Not only this, but drinking water can suppress our hunger, meaning we won’t be reaching for extra snacks throughout the day.

Aim to drink at least 3 litres a day, more if you are physically active.

Watch Your Portion Sizes

Without knowing it, you are probably over-eating on every meal. Even more so when we eat out.

Eat Your Greens

Adding veggies or fruit to every meal is a great way to slim down fast. Protein-packed foods are known for keeping you full for longer but don’t skip your veggies either.

Eating vegetables also helps you from over-eating on the calorie-dense foods!

Have A Plan

When we don’t have a set plan of what we are going to eat or do we often fall into bad habits. Think about when you are at the gym and you are walking around aimlessly looking for a machine to use, without any idea of what you’re going to do. You probably won’t go back to the gym after that because you’ll lose motivation.

The same goes for eating. Preparing your weekly meals on a Sunday is a great way of ensuring you are eating the right meals and nutrients.

Lifting weights isn’t just for building muscle mass, it can also be the key to losing belly fat.

Research has found that those who add weight training to their workouts drastically reduce their chances of obesity, whereas doing the same amount of cardio didn’t have the same effect.
