The most inspiring transformations of 2021

Weight loss

Share

For the last 12 months, our everyday lives have pretty much gone out the window.

So with the year approaching it's a good time to reflect and look back on the year that was given the circumstances and find what good things big or small to be thankful for and push forward into 2022.

We wanted to shine a light on some of our community members that despite having everything thrown at them over the last 12 months have had the determination to not only smash their weight loss goals but change their own lives and help others along the way.

Josh Lost 86kg

We were blown away when we first spoke to Josh as he has possibly lost the most weight in under a year!

Josh had been overweight the majority of his life and had never really worried about what food he eat because he just didn't care. At his heaviest, he weighed in at 161kg and was wearing 9 xl tops.

For anyone of this size even the first step can seem like an impossible task but Josh made the leap and never looked back.

Jarrod Lost 55kg

Not only has Jarrod had one of the quickest weight transformations but the improvements in his overall physical health have been inspiring.

He has recently finished his first half marathon and is back into his footy at a blistering pace. On top of all this, he is not only setting an amazing example for his kids but helping other blokes in the community to do the same.

Lucas Lost 45kg

We started following Lucas after we discovered his youtube channel where he was documenting his journey about weight loss and being on the autism spectrum. He had also tried to lose weight a few other ways but couldn't make it stick.

Luca's has been so supportive of his fellow man shakers and being open and honest on his youtube channel so he was definitely on our list!

Brett Lost 15kg

Now compared to a lot of other journeys losing 15kg may not sound like a massive transformation but to Brett, it's been life-changing.

He has gone from being too tired to play with his kids after work to running the Nike Melbourne marathon! He is now on a happier & healthier path making the most of his newfound energy source that will benefit him and his whole family.

Trent Lost 72kg

We started following Trent's journey after he tagged us in a few of his early posts on his Instagram account just as he was starting out. He told us overeating was his way of dealing with the emotional issues he was going through, which a number of blokes do but don't even realize.

Fast forward and Trent has amazingly stripped off 72kg and is still pushing forward for an even better 2022!

Warren lost 30kg

No doubt you have seen this head bouncing around TV commercials and on Facebook but this amazing specimen of a man is Warren Parry and he is an absolute legend. We saw Waz on Instagram dancing around his workplace shaking up a storm and the rest is history!

Not only has Waz lost 30kg using The Man Shake but he is constantly documenting his journey via his Instagram account @wa33a23 but he is always helping other blokes in our community group and even has spare time to make Santa appearances to bring others joy.

He is still on his weight loss journey but we couldn't write this blog without having Waz in it because he is just one of the happiest and nicest blokes you will meet.

Thomas Lost 40kg

Growing up Thomas was always the token "Big Guy" which landed him over 100kg on his 18th birthday. After a back injury that turned into chronic pain after a number of treatments, medications, and specialists that derailed his work life he would use food as an escape from the pain and depression that came along.

So not only was he battling his weight but also the pain which made any hope for the future almost unthinkable but Thomas made the choice to change not just for him but for his family and new daughter.

Adrian Lost 133kg

Yep, you read that correctly, 133kg and in 12 months.

Adrian's story has literally blown everybody's mind and in such a short time such a feat would not be possible but it's 100% true. Adrian has been keeping himself accountable via our community group The Man Shakers by posting regularly and supporting all the boys along the way.

He's found a new lease on life and is no longer a diabetic, his blood pressure is normal, and is no longer taking any medications.
