Steve said enough is enough and lost 51kg!

Steve Wilson 36 Born in Melbourne, grew up in the Wimmera region in country Victoria and live in the Whitsundays Qld.

I was always the bigger kid going back as early as primary school. I enjoyed sports and being outdoors but my diet was terrible.

I just got comfortable eating and drinking whatever I liked and the older I got the more weight I gained I became less active and it spiraled out of control.

I've had health complications with my legs, my back, and sleep issues all due to the weight. I just thought it was too late to do anything about it, and I always put it in the too-hard basket.

I was sick of being unhappy, unhealthy, and grouchy all the time. Previously I'd seen a dietician and tried juice and soup diets but I'd only ever last a few weeks, maybe drop a few kilos but I'd fail and put it all back on.

The only thing that was getting in the way of me losing weight was myself. I always made excuses, I wouldn't put the effort in and I'd give up. I knew that it was up to me to make a change and nobody else could help me unless I helped myself first.

After hearing The Man Shake ads on the radio and seeing them on TV, then finding the Facebook groups, I'd decided enough was enough.

These guys had all done it and I wanted it so much, that something felt different this time. Not only did I need to do this for myself, but It was also important to become a better version of myself for my friends and family, and those around me.

The first week on the shakes was tough going through sugar withdrawals and making such drastic changes, but I've since grown to enjoy them.

I sampled the flavours before settling on what I liked. Cookies and Bananas are my favourites. They keep me full and help me stay on track to make better snack and food choices throughout the day.

They've been a stepping stone and a major improvement in my lifestyle.

Now that I've lost the weight the biggest differences for me would be what I've learned about diet, nutrition, and exercise since being on this journey. I now know what to eat and what to avoid and when to treat myself and not overindulge.

I've learned how to count macros and calories which is something I've never bothered with before. I love cooking and I've found a new hobby in creating delicious healthy meals at home instead of the old not-so-healthy ones I used to make.

All my old clothes no longer fit as they are just way too big! I've had to slowly start replacing my whole wardrobe which has been quite overwhelming as my style was always limited by my size. Now I'm spoilt for choice which I'm still getting used to.

Mentally, I feel amazing and I'm proud of what I've achieved so far and I physically feel 10 years younger. The motivation, determination, and support I found in the Facebook groups, along with being in the right frame of mind during the journey helped me immensely.

The Man Shakes are so simple! Just shake and take it on the go.

Morning, lunch, whenever. It's just as quick and easy as making a cuppa tea and heaps better for you than one of those iced coffees from the servo. You don't even have to think about it. I look forward to my breakfast shake most days.

Honestly, It's affordable, convenient, tasty and it just works. I can't recommend this stuff enough. If you're serious about losing weight and you want something that's going to take some of that pressure and temptation off, help you along the way, and maybe even teach you a few things, then seriously give this stuff a go.

It helped me get my life back on track and I'm forever grateful.

I currently have no plans to stop taking my Man Shake for breakfast. I enjoy it and it helps keep me focused, I know it's a healthy choice and I may even continue to lose a few more kilos now I've reached the main part of my goal.

My strategy now is to take better care of my general health and fitness to keep the weight off for good.

To anyone thinking about starting, we all start somewhere and that's the hardest step. I know it sounds cliche, but if I can lose the weight so can anyone out there.

You just need to put your mind to it and get in the zone. Trust the process and just don't give up put the work in and you'll be rewarded.
