I’m 37 years old from Melton. I started using the man shake in August 2019
My whole life I’ve been bigger, although when I hit my early 20s I really felt myself blow out. Mostly due to laziness, I’d order a lot of takeaway for convenience, I wasn’t very active.
It didn’t bother me as much back then and I didn’t care what people thought, hearing the odd negative comment became a normal part of life for me.
5 years ago I was diagnosed with sleep apnea, I knew I snored but I didn’t realise how bad my sleep actually was and how it was affecting my life.
I’d also started working the afternoon shift, I’d eat junk through the day and have dinner when I arrived home and go to bed shortly after, which caused me to gain even more weight.
In the past, I have tried other shakes and also tried eating healthier foods, fewer foods, making fruit smoothies to replace meals, it was a lot of effort. Nothing ever lasted. I originally looked at lite n easy and similar meal plans but with a family, I couldn’t justify the cost.
A friend at work had mentioned the man shake to me. I looked on the website, had a quick read and decided this is what I was going to do. It’s important to me so I can keep up with my daughter. The decision to make a change just happened. I woke up one day thought, it’s time!
To date I have lost 65kg using The Man Shake.
I’ll continue having a shake for dinner. As I work the afternoon shift, I feel it’s better having a shake then eating a regular meal.
