Jimmy Despised His 'Jiggle' And Dropped 28kg

Share

Hey all, I’m Jimmy and I lost 28kg in seven months with The Man Shake.

For the past 10 years or so, I found comfort in food and was ignorant of my slowing down metabolism. I was also taking six to eight Nurofen per day for muscle pain relief. I tipped the scales at 132.6kg, barely fit a 3XL shirt and despised the 'jiggle' in my midsection whenever I would be driving.

One day, I was sitting at a red light when I saw an advertisement for The Man Shake go by on the side of a bus as it did its route around Bathurst, and I thought "I want to achieve that! If he can do it, I can too!". It was very aspirational.

"I NEEDED to change"

The clincher was Halloween 2023 when I dressed up and took my daughter trick-or-treating. I felt sluggish going door to door and I quickly lost breath under the mask I was wearing. After looking back on some photos my wife took, I thought "No wonder! Look at me!"

I struggled with my self-image and had nerve pain in my legs, which my GP told me was from my weight. I NEEDED to change, not only for my physical and mental health but for my wife and daughter. I wanted to be better for them and myself. It was hard to start, but once you get into a routine with it, it’s easy to maintain.

Admittedly, I suffered caffeine withdrawals, from cutting out the numerous cups of coffee I would drink, and I hated feeling hungry. But after seeing the weight just fall off me on the scales, I strived for that hunger pain because I knew it was my body eating away at all the fat it stored.

The very first week, I achieved a 3kg loss, in ONE WEEK!

I wanted more. More loss, better results. Maybe it’s my competitive nature, but the game was on by then, I chased each KG loss and I felt better each day, more so than the previous day. I’ve also completely stopped taking any pain medication.

"I still enjoy a cheat meal"

For breakfast, I will have a tall glass of water, 650ml of The Man Shake Coffee flavour, and a small travel mug of coffee. All the liquids make me feel full and helped with digestion. Morning tea is water, a banana, a boiled egg, and three flavoured rice cakes. Lunch is The Man Shake Strawberry flavour, water, banana, boiled egg, three flavoured rice cakes and a fun-sized Snickers as a treat.
Dinner is a portion-controlled, high-protein meal. Anything from Asian inspired to some lamb cutlets. I still enjoy a weekly ‘cheat meal’ and have a couple of beers throughout the week, all in moderation.

When I order my Man Shakes, I often go for the Buy 3 Get 1 Free bundle and usually order three bags of Coffee flavour. Coffee is definitely my favourite flavour and I enjoy following it up with a Strawberry during the day.

Since using The Man Shake, I feel AWESOME. Compared to previously, when I would mainly lounge around and eat on my days off, I felt unmotivated at work and always had a restless sleep. But now I sleep better, have more energy at work, my days off are spent being active with my seven-year-old daughter and I’m motivated to try new things. We just bought our first family tent and will be out, enjoying the outdoors and camping very soon.

If I were to offer advice, I would say give it an honest go. It REALLY works. If you find that the recommended 350ml of water isn’t filling you up, just add more — it’s only water!
I’ve gone from 132.6kg to 104.7kg in seven months. All the hunger pains you feel at the start pass but slug it out and thank me later.
