The East Ulverstone Football Club are a local footy club from Ulverstone, Tasmania (about 15 mins west of Devonport) and are part of the North West Football Association (NWFA).
For the 2024 season, The Crows have set themselves a challenge: How much can we lose? Thankfully, they aren’t talking about the scoreboard but instead the scales.
In early April we received an email from the team. They wanted to “create a conversation within the country football community and inspire others to make conscious choices to improve their health and wellbeing” by completing a 60-day health and wellbeing challenge. How could we not support that?!
A team of seven off-field legends — the kind of volunteers who keep local sporting clubs running across Australia — have stepped up and literally put their bodies on the line to create a positive impact in their league.
During the challenge, the team will track their progress with weekly weigh-ins after training sessions, and post updates in our Facebook community group, all culminating in The Man Shake Match in Round 16.
